In my lab, we study degenerative brain diseases using a combination of neuro-imaging analysis, neuropsychological assessments, and neuro-pathology. We have a particular emphasis on degenerative brain diseases that come into differential diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. We especially focus on the diagnosis of their underlying proteinopathies.
We use MRI to detect the atrophy patterns of these conditions, neuropsychological tests to recognize their cognitive signature, and use the gold standard of pathology to test the accuracy of our hypotheses.
