Work in Dr. Skowronska-Krawczyk’s laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of aging, with a particular interest in age-related neurodegenerative eye diseases, including glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The lab combines approaches in genomics, proteomics, lipidomics, and epigenetics to study how cellular, metabolic, and gene regulatory processes change with age and how these changes contribute to disease development and progression.
